If its a narrow band, you should throw it right into the garbage.

No wonder its reading "funny". They ALL do that. They are inaccurate and can only lead to problems.

THROW IT OUT!

They arent usless i had my autometer narrow band plug up with my AEM wideband and they were actually reading damn close in terms of wide open throttle... They were both in the same area of "richness" ... But of course the wideband givens you an exact numeric value and the narrow band doesn't but what were people using before widebands became so cheap..... compared to what they used to cost a few years ago?

Widebands lol

Actually 4 gas analyzers. Horiba then came to market with there wideband electronics to use with the NTK sensor. The Wideband/4 gas analyzer is what the manufactures used to tune the cars.

Fig I could be thinking to hard but I dont "overstand" what is it you are getting at with the manufactures..... Since we are talking about aftermarket mods and tuning.

There cleared it for you. People used spark plug reading to gety an idea of how thier AFRs were doing. Some people had acces to 4 gas analyzer.

Clear? :)

You can hook it up in any where as along you as you tap/slice into the signal wire ...... The only difference is the legnth of wire you will need to run.

You could tap it at the ecu or as far as the diagnostic box near the battery......

ok...
the 87 harness should be a solid black
the 88 harness should be black with a red stripe
and the 89+ should be a white wire

those should be the signal wire colors for the different harnesses
