Aftermarket water temp sensor in upper rad hose - 1JZ

Whats up everyone. What have you guys used to mount an aftermarket water temp sensor in between the upper radiator hose for the 1J? I remember seeing some pics back then, but never really took a close look. Thanks.

You can get a radiator hose adapter that fits in your upper radiator hose to mount the sensor. I have also heard that drilling and tapping a hole in the water neck works good as well.

I use the 7M temp sensor

Weld an bung drill a hole etc etc etc

i have a prosport temp gauge coming and the sensor look's like it's the same thread as the stock one.i'm just going to bolt it there,seeing my stock gauge took a poop.

This it the setup I have with a prosport WT gauge.....

I like it, just need to clean the wiring up a little bit.

I just drilled and tapped into the elbow on mine. hasn't leaked yet.
