Aftermarket Tach problem!

Hello! I have a 7mge-T and the tach doesnt work. Okay no problem, that normal.

Now, before i went turbo, i had an aftermarket autometer tachometer installed, and it has always been off. It reads about 2/3rds the reading. SO i can not figure out the problem.

Its not wired into the ignitor, because we switched the ignitor for a turbo one when we did the swap. So were the hell could it be wired into? Tapped into the old tach?

In other words, how can i get an aftermarket tachometer to work in a 7mgte?

why not just switch over the turbo tach into the na cluster. Thats what i did for my NA-T swap no problems right on the money everytime

I would do that, but i already have an aftermarket tach, so why not get that working? Not too interested in spending anymore money

ah yeah good point i got mine from a parts car that more than payed off for itself by now hmmm check cygnus maybe??? i think you need to wire the tach pickup signal from the aftermarket tach into the signal from the ignitor to the stock tach
