aftermarket oil gauge

?Which parents?
Where is the best place to run the oil line to on the engine that shows the pressure of oil for the gauge. I've tried using the oil sending unit hole but no adapters ( even though they are the Same thread size) wont fit.bis there a place on the head that would work?

The ports in the block are 1/8bspt and your sender is likely 1/8npt. Autometer makes an adapter, and so does DriftMotion. You can tap into any of the ports along the main oil galley (runs along the right side of the block).

I believe this is one of those differences between the JZ's and the M's Cy. On my 6m, oil pressure sensor hole is on the exhaust side of the engine, where on the 1j, it's on the intake side of the engine. But yes, get yourself an adapter from DM, they're cheap and easy.

Guess saying exhaust side would have been more clear, but yeah I am assuming hes got a 7m and by right side I am talking about the exhaust side :).

Implies a mech gage.

Here is where I ran mine, the small block off plate behind the oil filter, should have M or 7M or something like that etched into it. Easy as pie.

That spot will work but the only problem is that it is pre-filter, so should there be enough restriction in the filter to cause any significant pressure drop you wouldn't be able to see that, you may even see a slight increase in pressure.
