Looking around for some aftermarket intercooler piping.. for stock intercooler.

As far as I've understood.. CX racing / ebay piping is ok to use?

CXRacing 2" Intercooler Piping Kit US $59.00
Supra 7MGTE 7M-GTE Turbo Intercooler Piping Kit US $199.00
CXRacing 2.5" Intercooler Piping Kit US $49.99

Why is the CXRacing piping, middle link, 3-4 times the price of the other piping? See that it replaces the 3000 pipe.. and has some better curves.. so it is a better fit?

What is a good piping size for stock intercooler? 2.5"? is 3" too big?

if your on a ct26 go with 2.5" piping.
I think the second link is more expansive, because it replaces the 3000 pipe and they want money. Ive found that same kit for 159, 230, 120, 139. So its just that they are trying to make money.

I browsed through the CXRacing feedback, and there is no way in hell I would buy from them! Click on the feedback number, and go to the bottom of the page and set it to view 200 at a time. Then, scroll down each page and read only the negative comments. They show up in red, so they are easy to find in a quick scroll. You'll see a real ugly pattern when reading them.

Also, I love that middle kit.

You should go to driftmotion.com, and look at their universal kits. I have the 2 1/2" kit and it is fine. I believe it's $165 (+-). I have used mine on 2 different cars and 2 different ways. That is why I am liking the fitment of that middle kit, because I have made too many cuts and don't like my fitment now.

usually the kits that have the bovs included are ok. but the bov is usually crap. its kinda a hit or miss situation with those. Personally Id go with the piping and buy a nice tial bov or hks. They will say that the bov included is a hks bov or tial or whatever, but 9 times out of 10 its a knockoff.

Id go with piping, then buy an aftermarket bov from somewhere else.

CXracing had some negative feedback yes.. but they still have 98.5% positive feedback. There was no negative feedback regarding intercooler piping, as far as I could see.

airhead04 -> haven't seen any kits with BOVs? Only say that the stock BOV connects fine, does that on the links in 1st post anyway. I'm basically wondering how the compatibility is with a aftermarket BOV, like HKS, Greddy, Blitz etc

Does anyone have, or know of pictures with any of the kits in 1st post? Does the cheap kits piping layout look crap? or good?

My intercooler piping, silicone couplers, intercooler, and radiator are from CXracing. They have held up for the last two years with no problems at all, shipping was fairly quick, and customer service was good.

The middle kit is cut and bent to be a direct fit to the 7MGTE. The other two kits are just random sections of pipe with standard curves. You will need to cut them to make them fit, and then they won't have the edge bead unless you own your own pipe beader.
