Isn't there a blocked off plate on the top that would could make into an oil feed?

I know I'm going off topic here, but if lack of oil on initial startup is the main cause of death, it might be worth finding a solution.

The other main issue with the CT upgrades is the lack of upgrade turbine wheels to equalize the assembly. I do know of one guy on ebay that makes a turbo with a different center section and larger compressor/turbine wheels but with the stock housings...

Nope. The Hitachi center section is nothing like the Garrett.

Not the main cause, but part of the problem. Main solution now? Clean oil lines, good oil pressure, plenty of oil changes, good filters, and using a NEW TOYOTA OEM GASKET on the flange with the proper torque.

Back to square one. Large wheels in a small housing = death.
