Hey I just had a quick question, seeing that the stock 1j rods are forged and are good for like what 800 HP? Would aftermarket rods such as the $1600 greddy ones make much of a difference.

for 1600 bucks just start building a 2jz block to swap in and get its benefits at the same time, that kinda cash for just rods is a damn waste.
I wouldnt waist my money on after market rods and pistons when I know that stock is just as good!
Would all depend on the type of running the car was going to see....
While stock may be fine for the occasional pull to redline or a night at the drag strip I wouldn't be confident to use them in an endurance race on a track with long straights and fast corners.
