After market water pump?

im lookn for a water pump for my 7mgte... i have two 89 supras and 1 of them has a craked water pump. the other doesnt run but i dnt think theres n e thing rong wit that 1. does n e 1 kno if i can find an aftrmarket water pump r shuld i just replace the crakd 1 wit my othr factory 1???:1zhelp:

Make sure not to get the junk cast impeller ones... stock is a stamped impeller

well my autozone part was nicer than what i pulled off. plus it wasnt a remanufactured unit... it was all new.

what is the advantage to a stamped impeller over a cast impeller?

I'm pretty sure I replaced mine with one from autozone. The impeller was thicker and looked larger.

I believe there was a problem with the cast impeller failing due to inadequate coolant protection causing the impeller to rust?

It's also a crappy casting. Seen a couple failures on these forums over the years but NEVER seen a failure from the stamped unit. Plus think of it as a propeller, which one is going to work better?
