AFM question

I bought an AFM recently, and the housing looked different than my AFM, had different stampings, adjustment screw was in a different place and a few more things here and there.

Just wondering if there are any differences between the years. Oh, I was after just the electronics, not the housing, but it made me wonder if I received a Lexus AFM:biglaugh:

I put them side by side and they were the same length, but the opening of mine, fit inside the opening of the one I received. I sold a Lexus AFM a week or two ago that I picked up at a yard and it looks almost identical to that one, but I hadn't "studied" it enough. I get off of work at 5, so I'll snap some pics then..

Looks like a Lex to me. Put the stock electronics on it and if the module fits, you got yourself a good deal

yeah, it came with electronics, which is what I was after; he tossed in the housing to protect it during shipping..

I used the electronics, and my car no longer throws code 31 (checked codes multiple times), however it breaks up at around 4,000 rpm, as if I'm hitting fuel cut, but it doesn't hit as hard, and no CEL flashes...

are Lexus electronics the same as Supra electronics.?

Yeah electronics are the same...your breakup sounds like a spark issue.

I figured. My 89 sat for a month, with only code 31, once I replaced the eletronics, it started doing it..

it's okay, I'm due an oil change (I got 5 quarts of german castrol + filter at autozone for $25 FTW!!!), should change the plugs as well...
