just fitted me new aem gauge and alarm bells going off when putting me foot down.wideband gauge displays around 14-15 when tickover but when i give it some stick it travels to the left and goes straight down to 11 (the lowest reading). ive read this shows its dangerously lean and need some advice of where to start the corrections. ive looked at my injecters and there a purple colour (what cc are these ?).
here is a list of my running gear

2jzgte twin (MKIII)
3" straight exhaust
fuel cut
blitz induction
alloy rad
walbro pump
apexi boost controler (set to 0) until sorted
front mount intercooler
running on mk4 ecu

any help please pips as i dont want to blow her up (fingers crossed)

Well for starters 11's is running rich and when in boost that is completely normal. Have you done a full pull and looked at your AFR's? Also the purple injectors are 550cc injectors.

aem uego gauge, i was under the imprestion that keeping it in the middle (yellow) was the target and away from the left (green) was lean and risky

You have been misinformed as lean is to the right. BTW you should go by the actual AFR and not by which direction the gauge goes. Either way most gauges start from the the lowest value and then go up. So it would start rich and then go lean.

Also why would they make "green" the danger zone... If that was the case I should stop at a green light and proceed on reds from now on.

thanks pips for all your help with this, so when monitoring the gauge(wideband) and setting the boost controller ive just got to keep it central and no problem with it going green ,just when it goes red too the right of the dial.

thanks again i can sleep tonight now.
