So i got a couple questions about the AEM Uego.

Is there a way to get rid of the stock 02 Sensor and use the AEM Uego or do you have to run both?
If you can get rid of the stock o2 can i put the Uego in the stock bung?

Also what is are Stock Exhaust piping size right after the elbow?

I also found this for mounting purposes you think it would mount good and still be accurate?

I would just get it welded, many wide bands recommend 18" away from turbo but i've seen people run them much closer. I am running it right after the stock o2, i hear it lowers sensor life but o well. Its already there. if you mount it close, it asks that you build some sort of heat shield for it with copper which helps with extended sensor life

I've also heard to mount it on a angle so it does build up water on it.

And as far as having it welded where can i find the proper bung?

it should of came w/ it if its new, if not i do not know the thread size you could always go to a speed shop or surf online for AEM UGO BUNG hole LMFAO jk jk but yea seriously =D

It is good practice to mount it in between the 9 and 3 o'clock position, never anything below that. Because at times the exhaust system will have a build up of water from condensation. So try to stick it on the high side of the exhaust system.... if you mount it under car 9 or 3 only, if you mount it on DP right after turbo 12, if you mount it on the dp further down, no choice but 9 or 3... never anything below that, too close to the ground and it'll get water damage.

lol yeah i think i'm gonna mount it on the down pipe near the firewall (Not under the car) but a couple inches down from the elbow. i'm still waiting for the part to come in the mail. So i don't know if it comes with a bung

If its new it will come with one, just get it welded it wont cost you much. Best to put it far away like people said. I have mine mounted on my aftermarket downpipes probably 6 or 7 inches in front of the cat, next to the transmission, then ran the wire in through the shifter hole. They do make heat-sinks for the sensor if you decide to mount it close to the turbo.

Looking at it from the rear, it's at about the 10 o clock position, just fits barely without hitting the transmission (I have a W58 so there might be more clearance on mine than yours, I can try to get a pic of it later if you want).

Just need to be at the same angle as the o2 sensor. Basically just lay the bung on the pipe and weld it on. Water wont trap if you do it like that.

Only need to really be like 12-14+. You can put it on the side of the pipe but i would not put it on the bottom for obvious reasons. MIne is about 12in away on my afx.

Here's a the best pic I could get while reaching under the car and pressing the shutter button lol, it's further up than I remember it being. There is room between the sensor and trans believe it or not. You could probably get the sensor more vertical but I wasn't able to remove the downpipe to get it welded, and he couldn't get the welder that far up there.

How much clearance does the sensor have for scrapping? Doesnt look like you scrape much either.

Habanero just shave and solder. Dont use a connector. And stay away from the ones that clamp down on it like what alarm guys like to use as they pinch the wire and ruin it.

So quick question the Black and Red wire should i just wire them into the Harness near the ECU? and how important are the white and blue wires?

It say the white wire is for Analog Output ? and any aux unit that accepts 0-5 volts? so my question if this is needed where should i wire it into.

Im doing this at the same time as my apexi safc (version 1) using these PDF files

So i'm about to go wire in the AEM uego tonight just got the bung welded in today My question is can i just wire it into the stereo harness for the ground and 12v source? I still have no idea what to do the other 2 wires (white and blue) it says optional so i guess ill just leave it.

Im guess the other 2 are for the analog output and ground.

I would wire into the cigerette lighter if its 12v switched power or if you have a turbo timer with harness do switched power in the harness. You might get feedback through the radio if you wire it through there.

Ok im stupid what does that mean lol. also the ground can i just ground the wire myself instead of tapping into the body ground..

I don't have a turbo timer.

I could just tap into the ecu ground and 12v. my glove box is still of from last night when i wired in the apexi
