I have searched all over the web, guess I am not good enough. I know how to program the controller, but I can't seem to find the wastegate spring pressure spec. Somebody help me out, I would like to get the correct spec programmed into the controller.

try 4.5 spr then work your way up on the duty cycle.

i found that if i run to high of a spring pressure i would get massive boost spikes. then again every car is different. i sorta didn't like my truboost at first, but once i got it dial i love it. and the scramble boost is so much fun when playing with people on the highway.

ATL
SPR= 7.8 (or whatever your wastegate is at)
SEn= I (using the stock sensor that came with the aem, E is the upgraded sensor)
Boost is set on the TruBoost by increasing the spring pressure in percentages. 10 is not necessarily 10psi, it is 7.8X1.10 with whatever WG creep you have (3" exhaust turbo back should be around 10psi base). Keep increasing the percentage untill you hit your target boost.
I would set your alarm (ALA) to 10% higher than your target boost to account for creep or colder air.

Awesome! thanx for the details. My current settings:

Spring: 5.50
Duty cycle% --50 (the "A" then XX%)
boost % -- 40 (the "B" then XX%)

With these settings I reached a peak of about 6psi. I'll reprogram a little bit and post back up with what I got.

Not gonna lie I have been running the tru-boost for a year plus and don't really care for it. It fluctuates pretty bad and to get a good spool response you have to crank the SPR Crack way up, I tried as high as 15 with wicked spool up characteristics but then as mentioned you get spike.

But for ease and consistence I have mine set at 7

you are set at 7 ?.. holy crap! I had mine at 5.5 and I hit fuel-cut earlier today. Peak boost showed 12.4 I believe. I cant seem to get it dialed in. Duty cycle is at 50 as well as boost setting. The weird thing is I hit it quick too...like it went to boost and a second later went to cut. Dam this controller ! On a good note, every time I change a setting, the car behaves different...I just want to get it set to where I can mash on it...and not hit the cut...and stay boosting.:1zhelp:

If thats all you want, set it at 2, and set your % lower then your target boost. I have the SPR at 7 on a T67 with .84A/R so it doesn't do full spool till 4200-4400rpm but I am also running 19psi. What size turbo are you running? I should be able to run 21-23psi on pump and meth but with the 67 I spool hits so hard that I have trouble with fuel cut if a do a pull from 3000rpm as when it spools even though I never go over the target it cuts. The turbo spools fast once it starts. So is there a cure, yea a more advanced smart boost controller. But set the SPR real low(like 2) and you will be able to just mash it when ever!

Seth
