I am just curious to see who has experiece running the AEM EMS. I had planned to run the MAFT-PRO, with my NA-T setup, that I got in the group buy but recently I have made some new friends who have a few connections and can get me a great deal on the AEM EMS. Even without the connections and discounts the packages and prices that Horsepowerfreaks offers aren't that bad!! Does anyone see issues that may pop up with a NA-T? What were the bennefits of the AEM over the MAFT-PRO? Also what extra features (Wide band, guages, map sensors etc.)do you have installed with the AEM? thanks for any information in advance!!

AEM has a plug n play for the supra as well, didnt really read all of that post, so I dont know what all that does but you can check out horsepowerfreaks I think, and see what all it does.

i was going back and forth between standalone and maftpro and ended up with the maftpro. its a very easy install. i got it with the wideband and boostcontrol with speed density. very noticeable difference from the start. felt like i was trying a different car. once you get the hang of tuning it... its easy. it may not be fancy and have 100 inputs but it gives you access to the important factors with tuning your car.
it really depends on your goal. if you going for 700+ hp... go standalone

My goal is just a highly responsive 400-450hp daily driver that can go to the track occasionally!! Did you do all of the tuning yourself with the Maftpro? Are most people doing their own tuning? If not who is doing the tuning for you?

so far ive done all the tuning. since i just got it a little over a month ago i haven't really given it a really aggressive tune... im still learning. there is tons of support for maftpro in the engine management section on this forum. i had no experience prior to getting mine. you can do all the tuning on the keypad included but if you have a laptop it makes things a lot easier. if i had to guess im pushing about 400hp with my mods but i wont know for sure until i go to the dyno.

Im gunna watch that... If it comes out before my car is done, I may have an AEM set up for sale...

I read through most of the post on Supraforums but I don't remember it ever mentioning producing a set up for the MKIII Supra, but I might have missed it!!

Well they aint saying to much about which cars will be pnp . But that thing seems to have so many features , if i was in the market for a $2k stand alone , I'd wait .

Have you checked out the stinger ems via drift motion ?

No, havent done that... My biggest concern with stand alone is tuning, and finding a GREAT tuner... Im lucky enough to live in Florida, where one of the best AEM tuners is located... *Darin @ TiTan* If I got a Stinger, who would/could tune it for me?

As for the PnP, Im sure you're right about that... They'll get the 2JZ PnP done way before the 7M... :( You know, cuz us 7M owners be stewpit and po' as hellz!

I was thinking the same thing. The MKIV will come first and MAYBE the 7m months if not years later!! I am also close to a well know AEM Tuner (Battleground) so that is why the AEM was at the top of my list!!
