advantages of electric water pump?

I have just been wondering, what's the advantages of having a electric water pump and I'm pretty sure a 2JZ (i have a 1.5JZ) one would fit in our cars, but I just wanetd somebody elses word on it.

Im just guessing here but: Less drag since theres no belt and a steadier flow since it doesnt rely on engine speed.

I have a 2JZ electric pump on a 1.5JZ.

Haven't run it, but I imagine more power, cleaner look, and ability to test for leaks while the engine is off by powering it up for a day

I run an Electric Bypass pump here on my 7M in series with the stock mechanical pump it allows me to idle along in traffic in Summer with the AirCon on high and not run hot at all.

My Electric is plumbed into the lower Radiator hose and can flow through the stock pump and the stock pump can flow through it.

At low speed/rpm the 7M pump doesn't move much water which can lead to overheating in traffic with the AirCon on, I have the EWP set to come on under these circumstances and it never runs hot.
