i know i saw a thread around here about adjusting the cps but i've been lookin for 3 days and cant find it again. i have the cams lined straight up, and when i try to insert the cps lined up how it says in the tsrm, the bolt hole is always like a 1/4 inch off from where the flange ends. it'll sit lined up with the bolt hole 1/4 inch above or below the end of the flange. i've tried inseting it like a hundred times. i'll try to take a picture. any help?

Im not sure what you mean. You align the marks on the cps, one on the gear that spins and one on the housing. Then you carefully put it in so that the hole on the head is in the middle of the flange hole. Im not sure what you mean when you say you put it in and its not aligned..?

whenever i line it up and put it in, it wont go it unless i give it a little wiggle, and when i do, the gear'll just move past the center mark, as if i wasnt lining up with the right tooth.
i dunno if you can understand that explanation. im gonna take some pics

Just keep trying in slightly different positions.

It seems impossible but there is ONE position it fits in properly. Well two actually since it can be 180 out and it isn't a huge deal. Wasted spark ftw.

the red circles indicate the bolt hole locations and the cps alignment.
