Has anyone used adjustable cam gears with stock cams? If so, any noticeable or dyno proven results? My car(1jz) came with them installed straight up, just wondering if there was any real need for them. They do look nice though!

thanks for the info. I plan on doing some dyno tuning soon. Just wanted to know if it would be worth the time and $$ to try and pull out some extra hp from the cam gears.

Just read through some info on SF. Looks like retarding the exhaust cam gear 1.5 degrees ( or 3 crank degrees) granted some decent power gains. So Ill give that a try when I dyno.

If anyone else has any info it would be appreciated.

The last 2jz that we built for a MK4 guy made 28 RWHP, by playing with the exhaust cam. The head was stock, with just upgraded springs. The car was auto and at 14 psi the car made 405 RWHP. Talk about building an efficient engine.

This is from the thread I found on SF. Looks like he gained a lot of hp from just a little adjustment. Thought I would pass on the info..
