so as i was putting on my new air filter i noticed this

im assuming this is a pretty big issue and it seems like my turbo isnt as responsive, last week a hose on the back of my engine blew from being weak and im thinking this happened at the same time.

whats the best way to go about fixing this? i was trying to find a new accordion hose on ebay but didnt find anything that looked too good, i did find this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-9...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories which looks like it would work better but is this a good alternative? im pretty new to this and looking for some help

thanks

Stocker works fine, really up to you.

Stock clamps for that part are very good, normal worm gears won't get tight enough, and t-bolt clamps are more expensive.

Suprastore has that HPS one for $160. It comes with t-bolt clamps plus new clamps for the smaller hoses as well. Would the ribs on the stock one not affect airflow somehow?

It's before the turbo, and the ribs are to allow movement of the engine. Plus suprastore sucks...

Good to know they suck, I had tried finding them in the vendor section and couldn't find many threads on them, good or bad. Thanks for the info. You would only really have to work about allowing for engine movement if it was still connected to the stock air box right?

I bought that accordian hose from driftmotion, it comes with new clamps for every hose that connects to it and i'm happy with it. I've only had good experience from driftmotion.

AFM is bolted down, and some of the filter kits have a bracket to support it.

T bolt clamps seem like way overkill for a hose that holds absolutely no pressure. I wouldn't have an issue using a worm clamp on the accordion personally.

Tried them, I could pull and twist the accordian right off. Stripped the worm gears before they got tight enough to stop it.

The stock clamps are perfect IMHO, and concentrate the clamping force on 2 thin bands instead of one wide band.

Hmm where exacitaly is the AFM supposed to be bolted too? Mine was only bolted to the stock intake box, which I no longer have. Is there supposed to be something to bolt just the AFM down?

got my hose in the mail today from driftmotion, it has the little clamps but no big clamps, ill just use my old ones for that.

one question i have for poodles, or anybody for that fact, is that you have two hoses coming off your accordion hose, what is that one in the back (so to say) with the little thing coming off of it in the middle of the hose for? i dont have one mines just blocked off.

how i received it
