So you don't think freeing up the crank shaft any bit would produce a gain???

not a noticeable gain in our NA's. in my mind, the NA is never going to live up to the power of a GTE, unless you bore it and stroke it (way too much money for my budget). i'd just keep the NA in the best condition possible, and ready it for a GTE swap later down the road.

its personal preference, but if im gonna be slow, im gonna be COMFY and slow :D

Nope...., I'm doing it strictly to horse up my NA. No disrespect intended slideways. I thought that belt ran something else as well. But I'm only going to pull what I know I will not need I'll figure the rest out later. Long live Supra.

The ac belt runs just the ac. I was in the same situation as you. I looked and the belt and it goes strait to the ac compressor. I cut it and didn't notice any power increase but throttle responce was a little better.

Ya to get the max increase your'e going to have to pull the unit. It's little things. I have no need to go as fast as you nos heads. I like my NA just fine thanks. I'm anti turbo anything. To me that is false power. Power none the less. But it's much more cool to win a set and say hey bud I'm just a stock oem I6. You were simply outdriven. There's no competition with forced air induction. I'll be happy with my car when I get it running. Thanks.

he's going for weight reduction primary, response secondary; he'll need to remove the whole AC setup to accomplish both.

So..., are the lines attached to the unit the only lines I remove or are there more on the passenger side I am not see for certain. ?

I have finally gotten my garage set up for the rebuild. I need to get the machinist off of his arse, so I can get started.

How was everyone elses weekend?
