My p/o said the ac use to work fine but he remove the belt at some point idk y. I put a new belt on and when I turn the ac on the compressor won't turn. Is there a low refrigerant switch on these? And how can you tell if the system has been charged it looks like it has a new connector on one of the ac lines

Not entirely.

Compressor or its relay could be bad as well.

Easy to check. Find the relay and put power to the compressor. If it clicks on it the clutch works.

Can put power and ground to the relay and check continuity between the switch to verify it works correctly.

Ya you bypass the relay and put power to the compressor. Best to do this with a fused power supply. Such as a power probe.

Also I would do it with the engine off and just to verify the the compressor works.

You pull the relay out and you put power into one of the spaces. Not sure which on off hand. Just make sure it's not the ground.

There wires that come out of the relay and into a connector I took the connector a part. There where two blue wires a Brown and a other colored wire. I jumped one of the blues nothing happend just the relay clicking the other blue wire caused the compressor to move the magnetic part in like I was activating ac. Pulling the magnet it.

When I hit the ac button I can hear the relent clicking so that's good.

Does this mean I need to charge the ac because what I just did is bypass the low refrigerant switch

Car has r134 style ports on the ac lines so I'm guessing its been converted. I might go down to autozone and pick some up and fill it up. Is the ac line between the rad support and bumper near the hood latch the low side line or high side ?

Low side line is the smaller fitting.

And i would take it to a shop and have its filled correctly.

Low side is the fitting is on the compressor and high side is up front. Also i wouldnt spend my money putting freon in the system tell you find the leak cause there has to be one somewhere if its low cause its a closed system.
