so my car still wont start!!! idk what the hell it is. Im getting REALLY FRUSTRATED!!! so wen i do a compression test nothin at all shows up on the dial. Not even a flinch. in any cylinder... In the compression guage it has that air valve. Every other one ive used hasnt had that in there. Would that matter? IDK.

i mean there just cant be no compression at all in any cylinder can there?

I might have to pull it out again and redo EVERYTHING!!!!!

If you just re-did the motor and you have NO compression at all my first guess would be your cam timing is off. WAY off.

Take the plugs out and stick a piece of rubber hose down to the plug hole and have someone crank it over. You should be able to feel SOMETHING if it's a bad compression gauge.

Put the engine at Top Dead Center Cyl 1, Basically look at the front cover where the timing numbers are and rotate the engine by hand with a socket and breaker bar until the line on the crank pulley lines up with the 0, now with the front timing cover off make sure broth cam gear lines are pointing straight up and lined up the the little line on the back cover behind the cam gear.. TDC number 1 cyl should look like this..

It seriously sounds like your cam timing is WAY off..

yep thats exactly what i did... idk its all timed... on the toyota manual, there was a part that said wen its at TDC u should be able to see the top of the cam lobe through the oil fill cap. I cant see the tip, but its just out of sight almost there... r u supposed to actually see the cam lobe tip wen its all lined up?

i have had a problem with the shrade valve(that little air valve) on my compression tester failing before. but it was after a very long time of owning it. also check to see that the o-ring is still on the part that screws into the s-plug hole. other than that double check the the cam timing. there is no real way to test the shrade valve other than replacing it or pressurizing the compression tester to see if it is leaking.

You should also be able to hear what it sounds like if it has 0 compression.. Post a video of it cranking with the spark plugs in and Im sure I and several people can tell you if it sounds like it has compression

Just turn the engine by hand. If its just as easy with the spark plugs in vs out, then you have no compression, but i would still get another gauge to verify.

I have to replace the schrader valve in mine every 20th car or so I do. More often if I do a lot of wet compression tests. You can use a schrader from a tire but you will want to get one that is nickel.
