I havent done a whole lot of research on this yet. Its probably a dumb question but.. Is it possible to use the ABS solenoids to make a line lock? Just kind of a day dream really. I know that they are not designed to be energize for long periods of time, meaning that they would probably burn up pretty quick. I just want to put the front two wheels on a switch. I dont have a ton of info on the super old Toyota ABS system at the moment. What kind of power do these solenoids take? Is this even possible or just a toss it in the bin kinda thing.

The solenoids are not being used as ABS anymore they are just sitting there because i dont want to switch the lines over to non ABS.

Why did you remove ABS in the first place?

I could be wrong but i believe ABS solenoids release pressure from the line then reapply the same pressure. I don't believe they have the ability to close off a line as a line lock solenoid would. They release and reapply, thats how the system modulates brake pressure. Though i could be wrong.
