ABS Diagnostics?

So I think I may have figured out my buzzing sound everytime I press the brakes for the first time after each start-up.

I pull out my gauge cluster and notice my ABS warning light bulb is missing. heh

I check the service records from the previous owner and back in 1996, he took it to some local repair shop to have the ABS light checked out. Well, basically... they charged him $300 to 'solve his ABS light problem'.

Well, I used the bulb for the seatbelt and put it in the ABS socket. Put everything back together and BAM! ANTILOCK light turns on.

Now I gotta figure out how to diagnose this problem and fix it.


How can I find out whats throwing this light in my face?

My abs was kicking in at random on the DS when braking. It threw a 32. I bought both front ABS sensors from Champion at $130 each. Problem solved.

the magnetic picups can get a lot of metal shavings on them that can mess up the pickup. remove them and pull the shaving off. also the serated ring that is attached to the spindle has to be about perfectly round. if it wobbles or is warped so that the distance from the pickup to ring varies out of spec it will throw a code. i had to measure and pull hte ring back into spec with mine. my abs worked fine till i braked from a 70+mph speed. at that speed the car pulled to the left. my right front abs ring on hte hub was out of perfect round. i had a bearing installed and they messed it up.
