No, because I am using name brand proven pieces for the transmission. I am just not paying someone the labor to install them :) That's 90% the cost of a built transmission. It's alot of hours of labor thats very easy, but just alot of it, as long as you are good at following directions. If i fuck it up, I'll give it to my friend to do it.

It's no different then installing a flywheel or clutch in a 5spd car.. just a little more involved. I've seen these things rebuilt in a few hours. It's my spare tranny on a shop table, it shouldn't be bad.

Good luck with that. Building a high performance auto with a "how-to" guide is not going to be as easy as you think. Any yes, it is different than installing a flywheel and clutch. But good luck with the build. Props for trying!

I won't be adding extra clutches, just replacing the stocks with Raybestos Blue's like most places do. Like i said, nothing serious.. but it should hold 600whp for a while.

I come from a land down under
Seemingly there's an Oil feed issue to the planetry gears set that needs the case mod to prevent failure..

MV uses Brown clutches as according to Mike they have more friction area and hold better than Blues.
