soo this i couldnt find in the search

my question is on the auto mk3s
if you use a auto ecu on a 5 speed (yes i know it will work)
but i was told you will not gain power of the line because of a 2 sec break delay in the ecu
is this true because i have barley any low end TQ on my 7M
i think my acis is acting up but i wanted to clarify this first.
anybody have this prob?
im swaping to a M/T ecu

btw my set up is
85 7mge w58 but with a auto ecu

I ran an automatic ECU in my 5 speed car for a few years, never had any issues at all. I never had a "2 sec break delay" or any of that...

Based on this information, I'm about to go and buy a 1990, Turbo, auto, wiring harness and ECU to use in my 7mgte swap into my '89, gray plug, N/A car. I'd just like to confirm that the auto wiring harness will be functional on my manual chassis. With the body harness etc. I know I will have to swap tachs. Thank you.

No it will not plug up pre-89 and 89+ ecu plugs are different. But more importantly a 5 speed ecu can not run an auto.
