kool.know how would i tighten down the studs.would i have to use a vicegrip to tightly turn the studs into the block?what would i use to tighten them::dunce::plus i think by using studs it would make the lining up the head to slide right down in to place, instead of trying to line it up with just the new gasket and the little nipples that are on the block, right.

there are dowel pins in the block that help you line up the head to block along with the gasket.

and arp head studs have a 5mm inverted hex into the top so you can use a 5mm allen to tighten them. but you need to chase the the threads to clean them out at least 2-3 times to make sure there clear of all of the crap from the OEM head bolts. and arp head studs go in "hand tight" which means dont crank them down with the allen...

You do not tighten the studs into the block....you screw them in with your fingers and that's it...put the head on and tighten the nut per directions!

Do not use any tools to install the studs.

Other than a chaser or a bottoming tap to clean the holes. ;)

Depending on the size of the nut you may or maynot need to grind down your socket so you can tighten down the nuts on the studs. Because of the clearence in the head.

Sears sells a deep socket, 12-point 14mm that has walls thin enough. Only costs ~5 bucks.

Craftsman, too so it has a lifetime warranty so you can be sure anytime your 7M BHG's itself, you will have the tool ready. ;)

i was able to shimmy a full size deep socket down to take care of mine. just needed to play with the cams a smidge to get the socket to fit.
