A pillar pod

I found the other thread on this topic that is approaching a year since last activity.

I have a lotek pillar pod that I am very tired of. Haven't found anything as of yet on a different pod. Same problems, warped to HELL in no time, also warped so bad that it cracked. Are there any other pods out there that are NOT lotek? This one was the 3-pod replacement. Can't find my stock pillar cover anywhere...ideas?

Been toying with other options for sure. The loteks are horrible. Yet there are pods out there for freakin civics I dream to have...sad.

Lotek 3 pods are terrible, the 2 pods are better as they keep the grab handle (which holds the pillar in place better).

Yes, they're the only ones that make them for our car anymore...

Thats what I was afraid of. I probably wouldn't like the 2 either...my guess is it's made of the same material as the 3 pod. A cheap very hard plastic. The ones i have seen in civics almost look like they are made out of the same material the pillar cover itself is made of. I guess I will probably eliminate the pillar mount and mount elsewhere.

I happen to have a nice CF 2 gauge. Bought it last year, decided to go with a single column mount as my mods require nothing more than a decent boost gauge.

The fit is very nice. I wasn't planning on selling it, but as I am not using it I would be glad to take some pics if your interested 1jzed. Hope I am not breaking any forum rules by even offering it up out of the MK III parts section. If So I will list it there first.

The 2 gauge lotek pillar I have was a little off at top and the bottom corner does not shape in within the dash but I will still give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I have the 2 pod pillar. Worked fine for me, just the hole for the screw didnt line up with anything so i dont have a screw in there, and the bottom pod touches the dash..doesn't really bother me though.

2 pod with oh shit handle, you never know when the driver might need that handle!

fit is good, but not 100% as it squeaks with body flex when the targa is off. I blame the way it touches the dash at the bottom.

Stock pillar cover has felt at the bottom to prevent squeeks. Could easily do the same to the lotek to stop it.

Anybody try to mod the lotek yet? Maybe fiberglass a steel rod to the back..........

Thats not a bad idea. I'll give that a try when I get a chance with mine. It's already cracked so what the heck! lol.
