Looking through some of my Mopar parts to get it up and going. I decided to snap some pics of the two pistons and share with you guys.

Yep, look at the stroke too, the Mopar piston and rod combo have at least, if not longer stroke than the 7MGTE setup. (And they don't come apart at high rpm right?)
Also the 7M rod has more meat on the cap end, and even though it's thinner at the pin end, that's fine since the pin is smaller in diameter.
I think this is why the stock 7M rods can handle so much power. They are overbuilt by a pretty good margin.
Do you have weight comparisons for the two pistons and rods? I'd think the Mopar one is at least 1/2 again as heavy, if not more.

i did a comparisson of a 7m piston to one of my buddy's from his 350 and his rods were very noticeably less "beefy" also the piston skirts were thinner.
4.25" bore & 3.38" stroke for the Mopar vs. 3.26" bore & 3.58" stroke for the 7mgte. The mopar 383 has a pretty short stroke for the bore size.

The info was there and it only took 3 sec to find. Not all info needs to be spoon fed for you to use it.

I wasn't asking for information to be spoon fed to me, I was asking Adjuster how they could see the stroke when all you could see was the piston and the roddirgle said:
