I have a few questions about the Power Steering in my 92 shell that is nearing completion. The car had no Power Steering lines on it when I got it. The two main lines were looped to keep the system from going dry. First, why would that be done? I assume it is because David did a lot of drag racing with the car, and not much daily driving at all. Should I trust this rack?

Next, I need to be sure that the high pressure lines from the 89 I have will work in the 92. I'm not sure, but I don't think that the 89 is PPS. Also, I need to know which line goes where on the other side of the car?

And lastly, will I be able to use the power steering pump that originally came out of my 90, before it went into my 89. I ran that car without it being hooked up, because one of the small metal lines was stripped in the front of the rack. Yes, there was a belt running on it. If I can use that pump, should I trust this particular one. I really would like to have power steering in this car!

I come from a land down under
Don't take this as gospel but I think the high pressure line is different, I've just done the change from non PPS to PPS here but didn't pay close attention as I ended up making custom lines.

OK, here's a picture I just took. This is the loop cable that the car has on it. I want to assume that it is installed correctly, and the high pressure cable is in the correct position as it is. I would like a little clarification on this to be sure though. Hopefully I can work my lines into place in the morning.

Also, it has been so long since I had a car all put together that I can't remember where the two lines go that come from the reservoir. Yes, I am that stupid sometimes.
