a bird told me HID kits are not legal on cars without projector lenses. anyone to confirm/deny this?

A bird (cop) told me if your HID kit did not come factory stock, they are not legal. Whether or not they actually give a poop, is up to the officer.

And food for thought. A friend of mine bought some HIDs and a set of black chrome projectors for his '04 Tahoe, and they suck. He can't see anything, and doesn't even have his high beams anymore. Same with another friend's 240sx.
I might just have to pass on this GB. Good luck to everyone else though. I hope they turn out awesome.

Please dont lump some random H.I.D kit and a crappy projector kit with my (potential) group buy.

bixenon is the hi/low beam one, normal would only have low beams...

HID's, just like ANY other bulb are completely dependant on the housing they are in.

Do it right and get Hella E-codes. I got them here and they came in very fast.
