A couple of questions about throttle position sensors

1. How much compatibility among years and engines is there?
I see alot of different part numbers floating around; Are they year-specific- AKA- 87-88, 89+, turbo/ NA?

2. I tested and adjusted my TPS per the TSRM.
Got it adjusted correctly, however, one check is to see if you have infinite resistance between IDl and E2,
when at WOT. I still get continuity. Is this a common failure of the TPS? Also-
As the ECU looks at the TPS value during WOT when determining Fuel cut, Would this particular failure of my TPS contribute to an early FC? I can boost as high as ~10psi, and that's it. I used to be able to do ~15psi. By the way- my mods as far as fuel, etc. are MAFT in blow-thru, and AFPR, set ~38psi.
Aside from this one TPS value being out of range, my car drives great, no on- or off-throttle issues.

Please post your thoughts.

Is code 41 set? Do you see code 51 at any throttle position above slightly cracked? If no to the first question and yes to the second the IDL situation is not as you claim...

As for codes, I have none stored. I will look for codes with a non-idle throttle position.

Update. I get the code 51 with part throttle during the code check, but no 41.
Are you saying that this means the IDL/E2 check should be good?

Yes, they are different. AFAIK the electronics inside are still the same, thus, the same checks apply. The only difference that I'm aware of is the alignment of the hardware which makes the various bits incompatible.

What I said before....

and that was.... given my codes(and lack thereof), that "the IDL situation is not as you claim... "
I take from this that you're saying my reading of continuity is a mistake, perhaps from contacting the wrong pins, ergo my TPS is fine. Ok- good news.

ps- I always forget to ask- do you fly an L39?
