A/C removal and some other ?'s

I was hoping someone could tell me what if anything needs to be done where the a/c lines go into the firewall. I am assuming that they need to be plugged up somehow. I know its been talked about but on a 56k slow connection for the weekend.

Also I will soon be putting my 7M back together. I think I have all my parts together and ready for it but was wondering if someone could say some little things that might be easily forgotten. I have looked through many on those threads but as i get closer I am getting more worried of forgetting somehting and having to put whole build on standby

I removed my lines and simply put plastic caps over the open fittings to keep crap out...

Why cover it if you will never use it again? Why not remove the evaporator? That is worth at least 8-10 ounces of dead weight.
