Saw the same sort of funky curve comparing my standalone to the Toyota 86.5 gauge, by the time the gauge say's ouch it's all over and you've entered the "annealing zone".
thanks for taking the time to explain how you came up with the graph. i still go by my a/m gauge, was just curious as to the deviation of the stock gauge vs what i have observed.
If you think that's dirty of them, check out this picture of the factory digital gauge. You can't see this when the gauge package is all together, because it's behind tinted Plexiglas... but as soon as you take it apart, it's obvious that there isn't any indicators or wiring for them in a rather wide range.
