I'd imagine some of you have removed the A/C on your mk3's. I didn't realize the support bracket was as beefy as it is (6 bolts) it almost looks like it's overdesigned for the 10 lb. compressor, maybe as if it had another purpose like block strengthening? Could just be one of the overly safe designs Toyota uses but wanted to see others opinions on this.

Thanks,
Brian

You can feel free to remove it without any adverse affects, except not having A/C in your supra, witch I still dont understand yet :nono: Nothing like sweeting off your balls when trying to drive your car in the summer. Nothing like saving a whole 39 lbs on a 2 ton car, lol

HAY HAY HAY!!

1 3/4 TONS. Get that right!

BTW

Speaking off A/C, Funny thing is that now a days in IMSA, Lemans (closed driver compartments cars specifically) and a couple of the other race series, they now make A/C a compulsory item as the cabin has to be a certain temprature and cannot exceed it. So to minimize the bitching by the race teams, the series have upped the power rating for the A/C driven cars, but as always, the A/C can not be turned off to gain the higher HP levels ;)

and to add

Darin D from Titan Motorsports runs what? 8.3 s quater miles and last video I saw, he STILL has cold A/C blowing. Hell in Florida he has too!
