what would be getting wet that would cause my car to throw all these codes at once?

it ONLY happens after a hard rain. the car runs fine w/ no codes when its dry out. the only place i get rain is around the edges of the hood. take a look under my hood and see if you can find anything that would cause a problem if it got wet.

i AM missing the weather strip at the leading edge of the hood... you think my intake is collecting waters?

btw, one of those codes is for Turbo pressure overboost; i hit fuel cut alot.

get the weather stripping at the edge near the filter.
its probably sucking up water, and the sensor is probably a little moist.
i had this same problem.
switching to the maft pro soon so i can get rid of it, but for the time being get the weather stripping there.

yeah, thats kind of what i thought. the weatherstripping may help but that is only going to seal the hood against the plastic trim piece behind the headlight. there is still that gap between the trim piece and the rad support. i think the water can still run down there too. ill probably have to shorten my Inlet pipe and move the whole assy rearward.

dammit, there goes my fresh-air inlet.

Why the upside down AFM? If any water is getting in, its running RIGHT to the electronics.

i didnt forsee a problem with mounting it upside down since it has a better fitment w/ the intake pipe raised up like that. the Karmen vortex generator in the AFM body is sealed via rubber O-ring to the inside of the housing. the same applies for the IAT mounted behind the Generator. i had every reason to think that water would be sealed out by an O-ring... that is the nature of the part.

but the water in the airfilter is the only thing i can think of right now. the wire harnesses in the fenders have nothing to do with the TCCS so those getting wet wouldnt affect the car running.
