Gotcha. :) I look forward to it!

Update on my car:

I picked up a rear Mason Bar- my car's a coupe with folding rear seats, so I benefit more than fixed back seats would. This'll go in when I get my new RSM's. (rear shock mounts for the non-BMW crowd):

And an update on my TFX retrofit. I drilled my low beam lenses. They came out pretty good. Two lenses toasted my bit (but what do you expect for $13 shipped from Hong Kong?)

I cleaned the lights/housings/lenses really well. Any imperfections you see are in the stone guard that's been on them since day one. ;) In put the hi/lo lenses back into the front housings. They look pretty good. Included are pics of the drilling process, as well as the jig I used:

The diamond carbide bit:

Put some water in the lens to keep it cool, and keep the glass dust down:

Stop half way through, clean out water/glass dust, put in some new water:

Newly cut low beam lens:

The center that I drilled out:

The low beams (drilled) next to the high beams, all cleaned up:

The cleaned lenses installed in front lens housing after everything was cleaned meticulously:

The housings before I washed them:

After- I'll have better pics of these when I'm done, but trust me, they're clean!

That's it for now!

Thanks! :) Yeah, I need new suspension pretty badly, but don't just want to replace the shocks/struts. LOL.

I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but I've read numerous times on BF.c that the spare tire, when in the trunk, acts as extra crash support for the rear of the car. "Supposedly," with it removed, the rear will be toasted if you get hit without it.

I honestly don't know, but it definitely opened my eyes!

More update, but no pics:
I picked up the machine screws and aluminum stock to make the brackets to mount the projectors into the housings. :)

Thanks! Still needs some more tweaking, but I've been working on the Supra lately instead. :) That's also only one side- haven't even started the other! Making the brackets is a real bitch!

Headlight retrofit came to a screeching halt. I'm not entirely sure what I did, but I can't get a sharp cutoff anymore. It's strange, and I'm very frustrated. I had to put it all down and walk away for a few days, maybe weeks. LOL.

On a side note, I've got some sweet parts on the way, and some sitting around waiting for me to install them:

-2 new OEM knock sensors (whenever it rains, I get knock sensor 1 and 2 codes)
-2 OEM front strut tower reinforcement plates
-TCKline D/A coilovers w/ new RSM's and TCKline camber plates
-Suede shift boot with ///M color stitching

Fuck the headlights for now. LOL.

I get knock sensor 2 CEL between shifts and sometimes when gently accelerating. I use it as my 'punch it' light because it goes away when I floor it :)

Also, do you have a 413 DME or a 506? I have a Dinan chip that I got locally and it's labeled ODB1 '95 M3 but it doesn't work in my car with the 506 so I bought a TRM instead. If you have a 413 or 506 and want to try it let me know.

Yeah, the 1226 code is common on '95 M3's. I have yet to install the sensors. I put my TCKline coilovers in yesterday, along with the new RSM's and camber plates. Totally transformed the car, and I haven't even done the rear trailing arm bushings and gotten and alignment yet! It's incredible.

I've got a 506 DME in my car. I wouldn't be able to check it for you anyway, as I'm running a 3.5" HFM, 3.5" intake, and 21.5# injectors, with the associated tune for that all from TRM.

Oh, I'm not sure if I mentioned this earlier or not, but I installed a Stromung cat-back a few weeks ago, too. :)

Thanks, though I'll never recommend one to anybody who doesn't like DIY work! They're built like garbage. LOL. The Supra, while being a tank, is 10x better quality build than this car.

I would post pics, but I don't feel like it right now. I've installed my TCKline D/A coilovers (last weekend), and today I installed new rear trailing arm bushings. (UUC Poly's) Ended up having my cousin do some welding, as one of the RTAB pocket threaded inserts had nearly ripped out completely. :nono: I'll post pics soon.

Fail. LOL. Really, they're a great looking car. I just can't get past the crap build quality.

For example: when doing my rear trailing arm bushings today- the lower circle:
p1382230_1.jpg

That the forward most mounting hole in the unibody (there are only three) had torn almost completely out. (top circle, forward most hole for that bracket right here the #17 is pointing)

So, my cousin lucky for me, my cousin was around- he came over after I cleaned it up and removed the undercoat. Now it's securely welded back in place. What a PITA! It wasn't a pretty weld, but I'm damn sure it's not going anywhere now. LOL. (Ian- you're right- mig welding upside down sucks!)

LOL FUCK that!

I was grinding down the welds to make them flush with that threaded insert, and I got hot metal shavings all over my stomach and face- this was only a few minutes after he finished welding it so it was hot from that, AND from grinding! Not fun!

Ew! LOL! I can surely say that I hope I never experience that!

For real!

Now I've got to locate that knocking sound in the rear end. I can't pinpoint it! (was there before coilover install and bushings)
