yeah. i got the same exhaust a few weeks ago(different muffler). doesnt even come close to hanging that low. tucks up there nicely. that said i cant take credit for the welding though. i'm with aye mate. try rotating the 2 90 degrees so the muffler is closer to the gas tank. i would like to post a pic but unfortunatly i dont have one.

its not the pipes. second trys the charm right?

mine was the same way, previous owner used coat hanger as a "hanger" for the exhaust. I would hit a bump it would unbend and the exhaust would fall off mid turn and i woul shoot sparks across the road as i finish making my turn through the intersections..

was cool :)

Don't sweat it man, at least it sounds good it'll all get sorted out soon, not a big fix at all IMO. Yank that silencer out btw ;)

wtf is this place coming to? that link for your information is my friends company that i am promoting.. lagged don't jump to conclusions.. this is my first exhaust..

i am loosing a little respect for some of you members... This is not SF this is or was a friendly place and i thought i was posting up my problem.. People run into problems all the time i dont see you guys blasting them for that! i did an honest mistake of switching one of the pipes backwards which caused it not to tuck under right.. i see people on here all the time put wires and such the wrong way...

sorry for the rant lagged post really set me off

maybe some of you should learn from this thread that maybe we shouldnt post our failures on this forum

lagged check out the link in the sig: http://www.csperformance.net/

dont let them do your exhaust!

Yea... I just don't get it. This guy makes a little mistake when putting exhaust pipes on his car (which just about anyone here could do by accident) and you shouldn't buy an exhaust from his friends company?

Glad that you got it on good. I bet if you just new that other people were putting that exhaust on with no problem you would have looked more carefully and spotted your mistake. Did you post any audio clips yet?

I come from a land down under
AL: Not everyone is born a master fabricator!

Well done on having a go at it and a tip I'd share here for everyone is to tack weld your job together and test fit it before any finish welding!

It's easy to break a few tacks to reposition parts and checking a few times will save many hours of frustration later!

I recently welded a 3 inch exhaust for one of my boys, when I get a chance and when I fiqure out how to post pics I will throw some in.. I used no bends I made the turns by cutting angles.
