I'm pretty sure as long as you dont try to register it, they arent going to do shit.

The 92 already has a 1JZ..theres no swapping involved

Actually the 95 does as well...so it has a huge ass wing and a fuckin 1J swap....how sad!

Customs? Not do shit? You won't even get it out of customs regardless. You think CA referees are bad. Customs, no paper. No release.

Where do you think those half cuts come from? They don't do that in Japan. That is the US Customs ending the life of those cars.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They ship half cuts to North America so they can get more value out of each container shipment. Why would you ship back a whole car, paying to ship the whole weight of the car, when you can only use the engine?

This is the second time tonight someone has said the exact same time I was going to say :D.

Would be interested to know what truly happens when someone needs to bring a competition car into the states, I really don't see the manfactures writing out. And anyway, who are they to decide what is and what isn't a race car? Bucket seats and a full cage doesn't make a car a racer...

because you have idiot people that think they can import them. The exporting company does not give a rats ass how they ship it or what happens to it once they ship it as then it becomes the "importers" problem at that time.

Judging by the amount of 1jz post or the how to import cars threads here and abroad (subaru, Honda/Acura etc). There would be enough ignorant people to attempt to bring an entire car into US&A.
