I purchased this 92 5 spd. SC300 about a year and half ago. I've been slowly stockpiling parts for it and recently got started. Here are some progress pics:

Car as purchased with 143k on it.

01.JPG

1995 Aristo front clip. Almost looks to good to remove.

02.JPG

03.JPG

Rear sump setup purchased ahead of time from a GE ready to modify for oil return.

04.JPG

05.JPG

Done.

06.JPG

07.JPG

Front and rear sump comparison.

08.JPG

Installed.

09.JPG

Pickup gasket.

10.JPG

TT Supra water pump with backhousing.

11.JPG

12.JPG

US spec Supra twins.

13.JPG

JDM spec Supra/Aristo twins. Note the lack of exhaust bypass tube.

14.JPG

Comparison shot of turbo outlets where downpipe mates.

15.JPG

16.JPG

JDM

17.JPG

Brand new OEM TT Supra oil return rubber.

18.JPG

JDM vs US EGCV.

19.JPG

Brand new Toyota/Lexus lower control arm bushings.

20.JPG

Old bushing removal.

21.JPG

22.JPG

Pics of the wiring harness I built. The most time consuming process of the swap. I started with a spare SC300 5 spd. wiring harness. I then broke it down and added the appropriate GTE electronics and wire harness plastics from the RHD Aristo harness to look as factory as possible. Here you can see starter, DIAG box, evap vsv, ED ground, and oil level sensor all exiting the harness behind the intake manifold like factory.

23.JPG

Here you see SC300 fuse box wiring in top left, GTE igniter wiring bottom left that was added. Igniter will rest on driver side shock tower just like a factory Supra TT.

24.JPG

Injector 2-6, cam, MAP and IAT sensors.

25.JPG

US spec twins installed.

27.JPG

Wiring harness, turbo heat shield and upper plenum installed.

29.JPG

A Lexus needs a nice interior too.

30.JPG

Rears are currently done.

31.JPG

Car will be getting the full 97 and up conversion and fresh Garnet Red Pearl paint.

32.JPG

OEM Toyota Soarer R154 shifter extension parts to fit R154 to SC just like factory.

33.JPG

99+ SC/GS/RX steering wheel. Still searching for that airbag.

34.JPG

Brand new OEM 97+ tails.

35.JPG

Denso TT fuel pump.

36.JPG

97+ OEM spoiler.

37.JPG

Vintage Work VS Edition wheels.

38.JPG

Precision 600hp intercooler. All piping will be custom by me.

39.JPG

R154 transmission. Clutch is undecided.

40.JPG

I'll update more as I go. That's all for now!

Brandon, I can't either. I'll hopefully have it out within the next few weeks.

I like the 96/7 front much better than the plain catfish looking early front!

Moved to "other cars"

Yes! I totally agree. The car looks much more like a more "modern" car with the 97+ parts. 92-6 just looks too old and bland.

A bud here has a 96/400 with that front another has an early Active car with the catfish front, no comparison :)

I got the new leather from leatherseats.com They were blowing out some of the tan interior SC300 kits on ebay for $0.99 starting bid and no reserve. I got a set for $335. They sell on their website for $699. I just waited it out.

I have a friend who has 8 years of work experience wrapping them, so I paid him to do the job. Rears were done last weekend, today he should be finishing up the fronts. I'll post pics when they are all done.

The car cranked and started on the first try. Got the thing running to move around the shop. Intercooler has been mounted and bodywork has begun.

56.JPG

Mockup of hot side piping

57.JPG

Tigged and done

58.JPG

Temporary mounting.

59.JPG

60.JPG

Test fit of front bumper. Intercooler does not hang below and will use all factory ducting and shrouding. No need to move coolant reservoir either like alot of the off the shelf kits do.

61.JPG

62.JPG

That's how it sits for now. I'll be finishing up the cold side piping this week.

By the way. I need a TT Supra clutch fan blade. If anyone has one for sale, PM me.
