Back with more updates!

More parts

- Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet 3" in/out Resonator. Looks like a mini-muffler. Very well made. Makes my Borla muffler look like crap.

- Magnaflow (Car Sound) High Flow Catalytic Converter 3" in/out.

- Borla Oval Exhaust Tips - I got the idea for these from a thread started by Tekdeus, I have them installed as a mock-up right now on the Borla exhaust. I will have them modified and welded on once I'm ready to get the whole 3" exhaust setup completed.

- South Bend OFE Street Series Stage 3 Feramic Clutch Kit.

While I am waiting for Driftmotion to finish my motor (The link below shows a nice picture the boys at DM took of it), I have been trying to spend some time sound deadening the ride.

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showpost.php?p=542326&postcount=32

I have been using the passenger side door as my opportunity to screw things up as I get some experience dealing with the stuff. The first picture is the inside of the door with the RAAMAudio sound deadening material. The second picture is at the completion of the entire door. The gray stuff you see in Ensolite, a closed-cell foam. It will replace the OEM plastic barrier. Both the inside and outside portions of the door are layered in the RAAMAudio stuff and then Ensolite. I used aluminum flash is certain areas to seal the sheet metal holes.

I have already had to take the door apart twice due to problems caused by the thickness of the material and the ability of certain door components to work properly. I think I got it now. The door closes nice and quiet now and there are no rattles when I bang on the door. More to come. The trunk is next.

I have attached a current version of my project list. Things are always changing on this as I learn more.

This weekend I tested my new rim/tire rear clearance with the combo that will go on the vehicle. The pictures below show that there is some serious meat on the rears. That it stands taller then stock is no surprise. The online size calculators that I used confirmed that.

Volk Racing GT-C 18x10 +44
BFGoodridge g-force KDW 275/35/18
Eibach Springs
Tokico Illumina II

I was a little worried about clearance from the inner side of the rim/tire to the shock housing. My mistake was taking the measurement when the car was on a jack and the rear suspension was fully extended. When the suspension has the full load of the car, I have about 1 inch of clearance.

The clearance from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender is 1.5 inch.

If you look at the installed wheel from the rear, the rubber sticks out beyond the stock mud flap (for lack of a better term). Since I will be using the Bomex Rear Under Covers, I do not forsee this to be much of an irregularity. We'll see.

Got my ride back from Driftmotion today. The Engine build and initial break-in has been completed by Aaron. Thanks BigA for your attention to details. In addition to the build, Aaron also fabricated and mounted my custom 3" exhaust.

For now I have added pics of the engine bay and the muffler/exhaust tip setup.
