Hm. If there were only that many produced, it certainly gives me a whole new viewpoint for my '91. I wonder... ..since it's a White Package (white car/molding/wheels/bronze-tinted windows for those who don't know), does that make it any more unique? I don't know how many White Packages were sold in '91.. anyway, I was wanting to repaint it red or black, or possibly some kind of silver. Now I don't think I'll do that after all. I do wonder how far you can go with minor changes before you leave the "keep it original" arena.

It's a beautiful car but it's ultimately your choice. I would do it and then just get the engine rebuilt. So for a 91 you would be paying 2500 plus 3500 (what I was quoted for a stock rebuild) = 6,000 for a nice ride and a fresh engine. Don't quote me on that since I'm nowhere near as experienced as the other guys on here but I will say I would do it.

+1. any Supra you buy is gonna have problems, so buy one that's gonna be worth your time after fixing all of em. a 91 falls under that category even with rod knock. you would've ended up rebuilding your engine once or twice later down the road anyway, so why not get it out of the way right now.

that 91 looks pretty beat up man. engine is dirty as hell. fan shroud is missing. interior is a little worse for wear. i'd suggest maybe waiting and buy a good condtion 90+ supra for the price you'd pay for that one + rebuild. just my 2cents though.

Most ones that are super clean, are too expensive. I rather do the rework my self and put in a 1JZ. Also it's hard to find a clean 90+ in my area.

Update: Got another vid of the engine bay running, ROD KNOCK??? :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw9KWryET3k
