A couple of days ago this guy in a Saturn VUE started messing with me at a couple of stop lights in. I pulled in behind him at the last light and flashed my lights to let him know I was ready to play. On the green we both shot out ahead of the car on the right, I spooled up, changed lanes and started shooting past him. But on my shift from 1st to 2nd he started keeping up with me, and even though I was creeping ahead I couldn't get far enough ahead to sneak back in to the left lane in front of him before getting slowed down by a car in the right lane in front of me. :icon_evil
I can't claim a "kill", but he didn't completely embarrass me either. I was surprised that he gave me a decent run, but I see that the VUE runs 250 hp, which is respectably surprising. I've got most basic mods, including APEXi Power Intake, 3" MDC Turbo elbow & DP, 3" high flow cat, then things aren't so great with a 2 1/2" Flowmaster, but I should still be making a little more at the wheels than him I would think.
I can't feel too bad since I had to take it easy off the start following him, got along side him and was still pulling on him before I had to back off. I think I would've had him pretty easily if we'd been side by side. Hopefully I will meet up with this guy again, only right next to him...
