'89 thunderbird problems (friends car. should go supra :) )

Hey everyone, my friend has an '89 Ford Thunderbird and she's having trouble with her turn signals. The hazzard lights work but not the turn signals. Any ideas on where I should start looking?
I keep telling her to sell the car and get a supra...haha.

Check the relays and maybe replace with a known good working flasher.

Alright thanks, that's pretty much what I was thinking too. But it's not my car nor do I know anything about 'birds...haha. I'm gunna be inspecting the problem friday or so.
