Ahh with you now!
(they were dark and small when opened in outlook)

I took the pictures with a 1.3MP camera phone, so they were a touch short of professional quality, ha.

If Ian wants to post them he can. I'm back at work now so I can't get them on here at the moment. Don't worry about it if you don't want to, Ian...I'll do it this weekend if not.

No probs :)

Gave the pics a little touch up so they're easier to see and added them to the post on page 1 with the pics!

Ians car is much nicer than mine. Mine is a little more thrown together and something of a budget version of what he has. It has it's issues that need to be sorted out, but it's a blast to drive. Next up for fixing is some wiring issues I've got going on. Not looking forward to it, although cost should be nothing more than time going through everything.

Don't know about "nicer" Ryan mine is very rough still as I've never done any work or spent $ on anything other than performance parts, it's great to read how nicely yours drives I'd love to see a vid of it cruising around if possible!

I got real close with mine just before Christmas then the crack in the Trans case put me back 3 months and now with selling the house and moving it's slowing me down a lot, your car has been incentive to get mine done!

What exactly is the Turbo?

What exactly do you want a video of? It's pretty uneventful, which is awesome. I drive 22 minutes on the expressway to get to work every morning and it drives fine. Cruising at just a touch under 80mph is roughly 1,900 RPM. Again, the trans. I have is a 4L60E which has overdrive and a 3.55 gear.

I'll get you more info on the current turbo. The one I'm going to switch to is the Borg Warner S366 and I'm going to redo part of the exhaust. I want to be able to fit an air filter on the turbo and I also want to plumb the dumped wastegate back into the exhaust. I'm not a huge fan of the dumped wastegate.

Ryan: Just normal driving off stop acceleration sort of thing, running around town going with the traffic flow. :)

The only video camera I have right now is the one on my phone. I'll give that a try and see how it is today.

Ian, I sent you an email of a video. Sound didn't work on my computer because it was taken with my phone, but you can kind of get the idea. If you want higher quality or something different let me know. I can try sending it as a text message to your phone if you would like.

Do they make some type of headlight replacement kit? The flip up style ones seem to be much more prone to issues. A friend of mine with a nice RX7 made something like this for his ( http://www.evo-r.net/product/RX-7/IMG_5764.JPG ) That isn't his car, but you get the idea.

Anyone know of something similar?

What sort of problems are you having? I know there are a couple options for flush mount replacements. One of which is kinda home brew, the other involves replacing your lights with NSX lights, and you probably don't wanna know how much those cost...

It keeps blowing the 30 amp "RSR" fuse (I think that's the letters...?) under the hood. When it does, the lights flicker for a second and then turn on with the headlights still in the recessed position. Even after I turn the switch off they stay on and facing down. I have to switch the battery off to get them to actually turn off. I put a new fuse in, and they're fine. The new fuses usually only lasts a handful of on/off cycles.

For the time being I have a 30 amp circuit breaker wired in that spot so it will reset itself when it goes. My guess is the motors are drawing too much power. If that's the case I'll probably just find some used ones and be done with it. I found a couple pictures of the flush mount custom ones and wasn't a huge fan. I think I'd rather just fix the stock ones.

I also have to sort out some gauge issues I'm having, but that's another story.

Ian, we took two videos but you can't hear anything other than the ticking noise of the turn signal. I mean you see the car driving and you hear my girlfriend or I laugh once or twice, but you can't even hear the car or tell what gear it's in or anything. I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for.

With that said, I'm looking at changing up the exhaust and dumping it around the LR control arm, haha. Honestly, this is one of the quieter cars I've owned (period...not performance only. I mean an Escort with an exhaust leak I had years ago was louder..)

Windows were down. You hear a little wind noise, some laughing and passing traffic. It really only makes a lot noise when you're getting on it and that's mainly the dumped wastegate. I was serious about dumping the exhaust and with the new turbo I'll plumb the wastegate dump back into it. I don't want everyone looking at me driving down the road, but I wouldn't mind a few looks, haha.

FYI she teaches a multi-media class at a local high school, so it isn't as easy as sending a video for her. I'm sure it's going to be edited and everything by the time you get it.

Video is sending now.
