Hello and Hi!
I recently purchased my supra from a local towyard for $500.
No suprizes it has some problems that need to be addressed. I started tearing into this project about a month ago, and I've had nothing but bad luck. When I bought it I already knew it had problems starting,(intermittant) but I figured it was just the factory alarm system. I got it home, and it turned over twice, and then no more.
So I found the diagram, got in under the dash only to discoverd the alarm had already been removed, and that the starter relay wire had been already grounded to bypass the alarm. I also discovered another alarm system, but it was disconnected also, so I just took it out from under the dash.
Another thing I found, was that the ignition wired had been cut at one point, and then respliced together.
I can hear the starter relay kick, but nothing happens. I think it may be the starter solenoid, but there's no easy way that I can see to get in there and test because the engine compartment is so tight.
anyone have any ideas?
