i have the ultras and they are awesome quality. But one thing i noticed is that the threading that goes into the subframe doesnt use oem nuts..but the motor mount side does. They are solid and have lifetime warranty on them.

I bought a set of the UGP Racing mounts, very nice. They use a 1/2" bolt thru
the unit which requires a slight mod to the OEM aluminum block engine mount.
The existing bolt chase has to be bored to 1/2" to accept the larger dia. bolt.
Also there is a difference in the shape of the two units shown, the UGP's are
straight and the Ultra's have a taper. Realized this after talking to nerfkhat about the Ultra's that he installed.

Same here, I will do buissiness with them again. Hand written Thank Yous shows attention to detail in my book.

What about how long the mounts are? are they the same length as stock? cause i've though about finding some other OEM mounts that fit, or maybe some that are like 1/2'' lower, but just havent had the time at work to go and look through all of the mounts.

but ultra mounts are FTW apparently? your teeth dont rattle out at an idle? no super loud resonance noises?

On the first listing for the UGP Racing mounts they address the motor ride height. Taking into consideration the normal compression of the OEM rubber
mounts they designed their mounts height to the loaded height of the stock
OEM mount.

yeah ultra mounts have been kicking ass in my car. honestly, i dont really notice much vibration over stock... but then again i did go from a 7m to 2jz... the 7m feels like it was balanced with a bathroom scale as opposed to the silky smooth 2j which feels like it was balanced with the latest in computer technology. but like i already said, its pretty smooth with these mounts. smoother than the stock 7m on stock mounts, and i dont have to worry about breaking the mounts =)

Dose any one know about fitting 98+ MKIV motor mounts? I have a 89+ 2jz swapped Supra and the semi solids I made for it 4 years ago are shot. I have herd you can use them but have been unable to find any info.

Need something to get the sump off the cross member.

If the 98+ mounts will not work I will look at the Ultra mounts.

MKIV mounts work fine IIRC...

Dunno why people wouldn't want to use em since they've certainly shown their strength and IIRC are a captive design so if they fail you don't have an engine that wants to play rollover...

Thanks Poodles, that's what I was thinking too. I have had the 89+ mounts fail and send my engine into the strut tower in the past. I want the captive design of the 98+ MKIV mounts. The plus side of the captive mounts is that it is as smooth as stock when idling.

Anyone used them and have the part number they used?
