I found this thread in my subscriptions. I hate to bump an old thread but damn! I'm interested in what happened with this. Supradad, you still around??
Well... yes and no. I got as far as ripping everything off of the block and head. Then my kids became active in everything, so I did as well. I no longer had the time to mess around with the project. I sold it to a local guy who is a Toyota Mechanic. He had a 330 HP Neon, as was looking to build a better drag car. So he picked it up in May, and carted away all of the boxed, bagged, and labeled parts. I hated to see it go, but the body was outside, and starting to rust in places. It was looking for a worthy owner. For now, I have a little 99 Miata to drive in the summers. In a few years the kids will all be in college, and maybe I'll be back!
And also, thanks to all who helped me and advised me with the teardown. I really enjoyed it. There are a great bunch of people on this forum. Best of luck to you all.
