88 turbo in a 89 na shell

Did anybody do a 88 turbo n a 89 na shell?Did u do a plug n play or u had to do sum wireing

As long as you use an 88 wiring harness and ecu it should be fine.

Someone correct if I'm wrong.

i've read that you use the wiring harness and ecu for the year of the chassis. thats what it says on the engine swap sticky

I was orinally going to do a ge to gte swap in my 89 na. I had an 87 turbo as a donor. My mechanic, who works solely on Supras, told me I could use the 87 ecu and harness on my 89. He said the plugs on the 87 wiring harness that plug into the main body harness of the car are the same, just the ECU plugs were different, thus to use a pre 89 turbo ecu.

everything plug n fine motor runs fine but now my headlights is fucked up heads light don't trun off 1 is bright than the other just problems

There are multiple members who had similar headlight issues. Should be an easy search and fix.

use a wiring harness that matches the chassis of the car, and get the ECU to match.
