Mustang. 351s are fun. Then cam and such. N/a v8 will win. Unless it's a bunk motor.

351 was pulled out of a truck, when we had the intake and all off it looked almost like a new motor, real clean sidewalls etc.


carb is only a holley 600 vacuum secondary, but it does ok

600cfm is more than enough carb. Hands down car wise mustang will win.

Foxbody's are around 3200 pounds with a 302, dont know what they weigh gutted, pretty sure the lightest ones were the 4cyl Coupe's, I hear they were close to 2900.

I say it depends on what gears/trans in both cars and really on how the engines are built. That said a Straight line isnt where the Supra shines.

It WAS an 87 4 cylinder coupe... has a 351 and t5 swap

aod is gone and that takes weight out also.. the auto trans weighs about 160-200 pounds


all interior is all there, good daily driver... but engine bay and all is stripped. no air, no p/s, none of that stuff....
alternator, water pump, and crank thats it

So with the added weight of the 351 I really dont think it weighs 2700 anymore?? I could be way off though but I dont think it could be 2700 with a 351 under the good because I do know a 351W weighs around 530 pounds with out accessories. Depending on what year 351 you have it might not be as quick as I think, some made as little as 170hp, most make 210hp-220hp stock, some made 250hp, with a decent build(higher compression, cams, aluminum heads, 650+ 4 barrel, headers) they make around 300hp.

Regardless, I think it will beat the Supra in a 1/4 mile.. 351 probably has more torque, Supra could weigh anywhere from 3450-3750 without a driver depending on the model, could have any gears, tires.. and most important.. the driver.
