88 and 89 plus sway bars

well the reson why i am posting this is cause i am not sure of this cause frankly i can not remeber

well i decide to install my st sway bars off my 86 to my 92 and ummm i really did not notice to much of a change


now this is were it get's fun i remmber my 86 front and rear sway bar being hallow flemsy (bean a long time)

now on my 92 the front is solid and is abit smaller then the st sway bar the rear is still hallow as well

so in the end they must have chnaged the sway bars at one time fo teh supra life caus emy 92 did not have bad body roll at all

update

if you know any one with 91 steal there sway bars cause they are an upgrade to you in you have older car

there is big diff between the 2 and upgrade for the rear whould be solid 88 style end links

now the big qestion is did these sway bars come on the 89 to 92 or was it just 91 and 92 that got them


and far as i know sinc ei bean in the supra wolrd no one has mentioned this befor

it's probably a good time to upgrade the endlink mounting point as well...

this is why toyota most likly why toyota whent wiht plastic end link cause of the new heavery bar ??????

i really wana find out when they changed the bars i have no cars ot really cheak out around here

nope, toyota went to the plastic endlinks due to the mounting point on the #2 sus arm breaking all the time.....instead of changing that, then went with a weaker endlink.

well i know they changed the front and rear bar was it when the plastic link came in or after ???????????? only ture way to find some one with 89 or 90

my 89 has plastic endlinks...

I have my old sways in the garage, not sure how to measure em though...

easy front bar will have bend marks on them and it will be soild not hallow
the back is still halow but tad bigger then 88

well i was right the sway bars changed in 91 92

reson beign i did speation swap on my freidn car and looked at both bars there diffent and nice upgrade for his 89 supra

diff's
front bar is about 6 or more pounds heaver and larger aka solid

rear bar larger but still hallow

i have pic's to prov this as well

so in the end whoudl i buy st sway bars to repalce a set of 91 bars NOPE kinda not worth the money

funny part is it took toyta tell the last 2 yeasr to fix prob that was all wasy there
