87 Supra 1jz

Hi,

I recently bought a 87 targa 7m gte. I have always loved the 1j and really want to put it in the car. So here are my concerens..

1) The engine mounts, now i am a welder so i can weld them on.. but i have a buddie that tells me there is a engine mount kit for this that you can just bolt on.

2) I am also going to be upgrading the turbo and want 400hp+ rwhp out of this car, will everything fit okay without hacking up my engine bay.

3) And will this engine hold it intrenaly, i do want a reliable car.

These are just a few concerns, but if there is someone out there that has done it i would really appreciate there input.

1. Driftmotion.com makes engine mounts to bolt it into a pre 89(square mount) car

It would be hella cheap to make your own motor mounts and would save you money. As long as you are capable to make some don't waste your money man.

I agree with planemos. If you have the skills to make this stuff, don't bother buying it.
